If you are considering a career in Massage Therapy in the state of Illinois you will need to be licensed. In order to become licensed you must graduate from an Illinois approved massage program consisting of a minimum 500 hours didactic. Upon completion of your massage training you will need to become nationally certified. National Massage Certification entails passing the NCETMB or National Certification Exam for Massage and Bodywork (or another approved massage exam). the NCETMB exam is given by computer and consists of 160 multiple choice massage questions.
