If you are considering a career in Massage Therapy in the state of Illinois, you will need to be licensed. In order to become licensed, you must graduate from an Illinois approved massage program consisting of a minimum 500 hours didactic. Upon completion of your massage training, you will need to pass an accepted state exam. The NCETM/TMB or National Certification Exam for Massage and Bodywork and MBLEx or Massage & Bodywork Licensing Examination.
