There are two separate designations for therapists practicing in Delaware. The first type is called a Certified Massage Technicians (CMT), only requiring 300 hours of an approved massage course. The second is a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) requiring 500 hours training at an approved massage school and passing the NCETMB National Massage Exam. The certification and licensing fees scale for massage therapists appears to be sliding. The price actually decreases the newer your application is. Currently the cost of a massage license is 58 dollars (July 25th, 2007) but next month the cost of the license changes to 54.
