Florida Licensure for Massage Therapy - Start here for questions about massage therapy licensure in Florida Florida Massage Therapy License Application - Direct link to the massage therapy license application that you need to download, print, fill out, and submit The Florida Board of Massage Therapy requires that you be at least 18 years of age and have completed an approved massage course of at least 500 hours or an approved massage apprenticeship training program of at least 12 months. The state of Florida also requires a massage license applicant to take and pass a 2 hour prevention of medical errors course. Before a Florida massage license is issued you must also pass the National Certification Examination for Massage Therapy NCETMB or the MBLEx from the Federation of State Massage Therapy Boards. The NCETMB and MBLEx will need to send your results directly to the Florida Quality Assurance Board of Massage Therapy.
